Crisis & Excess

  • The Gallery At Fort Houston, NASHVILLE, TN 2020 Lindell Avenue Nashville, TN, 37203 United States (map)

OPENING RECEPTION: APRIL 7TH, 6PM-9PM

This April, The Gallery at Fort Houston is proud to present CRISIS & EXCESS - a new interdisciplinary exhibition incorporating nine visual artists, curated by Alyssa A. Beach. The show will open with a public reception on the evening of April 7th, in conjunction with the Wedgewood Houston Art Crawl, and continue throughout the month, closing on April 28th.

The world is in crisis, how do we - as artists - process and respond?

With our work, and our love, in excess.

CRISIS & EXCESS will explore the cathartic and reactionary nature of the artistic creation process, specifically in the ‘group’ setting. Showcasing work from Marcus Maddox, John Paul Kesling, Eddie Love, Amanda Lomax, Zidekahedron, Brittany McMahon, Courtney Spencer, Coco Reilly and Danielle Shoda, the exhibition will span multiple forms of media, including painting, photography, digital and fashion design.
